Shift Lever for the Side of the transmission 80-83.5 Vanagon This is the shift lever with the double plastic balls on it that was used on 80-83.5 Vanagons. If your shifter is sloppy this could be one of the reasons. Works on 80-83.5 AC Vanagon and also 82 Diesel Vanagon. 83-91 Diesel uses the newer style shift lever.  The part number on this is 251711219
