Catalytic Converter

Catalytic Converter for 1979/Type 2 and 80-83 Air Cooled Vanagon (California Emissions Only). However if you reside in California it is actually illegal to install this aftermarket catalytic converter onto your van. You have to buy a CARB approved Cat. So this would be if you own a "California Emissions" Van in any state other than California. Wow isn't that confusing :-) Also works on 83.5-85 1.9l Vanagons (again non-California residents)
